On January 9, 2018, Doreen Garner began work on Invisible Man Tattoo, transforming Recess Art Gallery into a pop-up tattoo shop offering designs that reflect the histories and experiences of Black people and the African Diaspora.
Inspired by this project, Philadelphia Printworks collaborated with Doreen Garner to create this series of designs. Illustrations by Doreen Garner and Donte Neal. Layout by Maryam Pugh.
