Evolution of a Race Riot (1997-1998) was a collaborative zine by Mimi Thi Nguyen that challenged the DIY punk and Riot Grrrl worlds. The zine began as a response to an ongoing dialogue about race and gender in an environment that Nguyen witnessed as wholly dominated by white feminist punks.
