Kitchen Table: Women of Color Press was the first Black feminist publishing house in the United States, founded in 1980 by Barbara Smith and Audre Lorde alongside other visionary writers and activists. Created to amplify the voices of women of color whose work was often excluded from mainstream publishing, Kitchen Table Press became a home for groundbreaking texts that reshaped feminist thought and movement work.

In honor of this legacy, 75% of the net proceeds from our Kitchen Table Press Collection will be donated to the Smith Caring Circle. 

This collection continues our partnership with Black Women Radicals, which is dedicated to uplifting and supporting Black transgender, queer, and cisgender radical women, along with gender-expansive activists, through the powerful perspectives of Black feminism and womanism.

Wash in cold water. Do not bleach. Tumble dry with low heat. Do not iron. Do not dry clean.


For Pigment-Dyed Garments:

The pigment-dyeing process gives each garment a unique character. Please allow for slight color variation in production and washing.

Due to the nature of pigment dye, loose pigments may remain on the surface of the garments. We therefore strongly recommend washing these garments only with like-colored garments, as some of the pigment dyes may stain light or white-colored garments in the wash cycle. Washing the garments in cold water will reduce the possibility of staining.

Shipping/Returns

Orders placed Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) are fulfilled and shipped within 2-12 business days unless otherwise noted. Delivery time is based on shipping method.
