"This artwork speaks to the hardened hands of those who carry the world but are seldom seen, the invisible labourers. Their labour often comes at a great physical cost, as they are caught between survival and exploitation. Capitalism heavily relies on labour pools from underdeveloped countries which is a long-standing systematic means of production established during colonialism.(1) However, this backbone of labour is also a great source of potential to facilitate liberation. By funnelling resources back into developing societies, those same hands can transform the societal landscape by building and aiding in the materialization of different futures through their skills and knowledge.(2)" — Lambi Chibambo
